Final Blog Post

So far, this cluster class is ending with lots of great experiences. I really learned lots of materials in this class. English 103 helped me to learn to do research in an appropriate way. English writing class is really creative because I find myself writing in best way than before. I can dot down any thing in specific way. This class really mean a lot for me. The art of writing is learned by English and Professor Dragan helped me to be successful writer in various ways. English 103 and English 101 classes are wonderful to increase our writing pattern. Thanking you a lot to Profeesor and all our class friends.

                   Science and technology are most likely the majority debated topics in society. Scientific and technological developments have been debated as to whether they affect people’s life style and causes hassle. However, science and technology has enhanced our habits of life for the improved of mankind. Human cloning, computers, robotics and other technologies are all examples of how science and technology is beneficial. In each of these cases, there are no undesirable changes to people’s life styles. If it were not for many, if not all, of these changes in our history, we can see all of the beneficial advancements we have made and how far we have come. Human beings are extremely complex characters, controlling, and self supporting bodily mechanisms, planned over by normal choice, and in service in according to the similar well understood morality. These basis principles are governed through all the additional physical processes in living things. The vital reason intended for believing that robots power someday turns out to be conscious could be that we human beings are conscious, and we are a kind of robots.

                    Cluster means the combination of the Philosophy, Psychology and Popular science writing on minds (ENG101). In the Philosophy class we study about an  intellectual regulation concerned by making precise the character and significance of ordinary and scientific principles and investigating the clearness of concepts of rational argument relating to their implications, presuppositions, and interrelationships; in exacting, the rational study of the nature and relationship of certainty (metaphysics), the resources and restrictions of comprehension (epistemology), the ideology and significance of moral conclusion (ethics), and the relationship between verbal communication and certainty (semantics). It is also known as the detection of wisdom. On the other hand, in Psychology class we study about the mind and individual’s behavior in the particular area. It also studies about the soul, mind and do psychoanalysis in thought, emotions and a behavior. Yes, cluster class is an umbrella heading for both of these social sciences which deals with the theory. The words philosophy and psychology concern with the mind. To have a basic and understanding they continue each other. Above all, these classes cannot be completed without the use of English 101. English 101 gives more clues about how the sentences are written. The art of writing is learned by English 101.

                         The most important thing that I have learned from English 101 is to express my hidden words in proper way. At first I was unable to dot down my ideas clearly in a piece of paper. As the time passed, my writing has been changed dramatically. I can understand the pattern to write an essays and imaginative texts on theses scientific topics that I didn’t know before and I can understand now has changed drastically. Moreover, I can relate the text content with the videos and find out the differences easily. Such as, the facial expression, posture and gesture. In Professor Dragan’s class we are thought through the book with the video clips, which makes us to understand more clearly about what the topic is. To be honest, I didn’t know the meaning and characteristics of Human Cloning, but relating to course book and videos made me clear about cloning.  I have known lots of things like scientific technology.    

                   In conclusion,   one can be capable of concluding that science and technology do not create unwanted changes   to life styles but merely promotion life and thing correlated to each other. The essay of  Churchill --The number is the best example of Human Cloning. Even though this essay is tragedy and conflict but it gives the best sence of clon.

Changes for the english 103 Research Paper

My research paper is about the movie Autism --Temple Grandin 2010. It is really true and emotional story, but I don't know how I am writing an exact emotions in the essay. Well, at first I have found this stuff quite easy but after I have passed few days, I am finding the stuff to be more difficult. Any ways , I am learning to write in a good format upto my classes are done.But after geeting Professor Drangon's feed back I am hoping to do good in my draft. Well, its very tough for me to understand but I got some of his advice, which helps me to write in a good shape .

Critical Thinking Blog Post # 4

                        People have various kinds of thoughts and opinions about human cloning. Some people like it and other may not. This great article about human cloning: Play was written by Caryl Churchill about The Number. This play is kind of conflict and terrible to understand their situations. In this play there is a father, Salter and Bernard his cloned son playing in different condition. This article itself is complex to know about these characters.  In the context Salter says, “They have damaged your uniqueness, weakness your identity” (Churchill 151). In this passage we can easily observe that cloning might challenge our sense of being uniqueness. In the play Salter wants to put a price on the damage. Therefore, we have to think about the cost of human cloning before we move forward to study in details. There was also an argue between Salter and B1. Here B1 says, “They take this painless scrape this speck little cells of me and kept and you threw the rest of me away” (Churchill 162). B1 basically concentrate on his distress about the entire body with his own intelligent and capacity. There was not only one clone of Bernard perhaps there was 20 clones of him. These all types of mixed complex make whole the article very tough to understand.

                        The main important theme of this article is about nature verses nurture. Here B2 says, “I feel terrible” (Churchill 149). In this quote we can see the evidence that cloning is complicated. We have complicated feeling about this tissue because it does seem to challenge what it means to be human. Here we can see B2 is very much worrying about knowing the fact that he is just a copy and not an original one.

                        All in all, this play shows the nature of complexity and tragedy. Whatever the father had planned went wrong and shown up with stress and unsatisfactory. This article makes us to learn about different categories of human beings and their characters.

Critical Thinking Assignment # 3

                Human cloning is the formation of a hereditarily matching reproduction of a human being. It does not frequently refer to monozygotic multi births, human cell or tissue imitation. The moral principles of cloning are a tremendously contentious concern and this is being a great discussion topic in between scientist to debate subsequent to the accomplishment of the Dolly, the Sheep. Here the scientist normally refers to an artificial gene from one human to another, and from one animal to another with the cloning through the natural process of reproduction. In every matter we could make a distinction of merits and demerits. Most of scientists have an opinion about the therapeutic cloning and reproductive cloning. Therapeutic cloning refers to the cloning cells from an adult for the uses of medication and reproductive cloning refers to making a cloned human beings. There is also least common type of cloning where scientists have an idea of making in combination.

                    According to my test book, the author says, “cloning will be a key technology” (Kurzweil 121). Cloning is one of the major influential methods of applying life’s technology involves harnessing biology’s person reproductive apparatus in the shape of cloning. The writer says,” there is no doubt that human cloning will occur, and occur soon, driven by all the usual reasons, ranging from its publicity value to its utility as a very weak form of immortality”( Kurzweil 122). The creation of cloning could be one of the best and effective methods. We see lots of people donating their organ which could also refer like a cloning. Our entire Professor had a thinking of cloning and its function that’s why we were showed clips about the cloning for an entire LIB 200 class. So, it’s very important subject to talk about and getting very popular. After watching the video on cloning I personally was little bit upset but when I think it broadly I came to the conclusion that it is good for the advancing scientific technology. The speaking part of the sheep was quite excited to watch after the scientist tries for third time.  There were numbers of mistakes and unsuccessful with very weak but scientist are trying to make it successful day by day.  

                  Carly Churchill has presented in really different ways of human cloning. Churchill describes about the authentic story about a person who have decided to clon his son and sent the original away because of being unaware of what it was. After happening all his thought it was very sadness and created of the conflicts in between the Bernard and his son. There was a long conversation with lots of argumentation. In the story Salter who was known as a bad father was quite aggressive. But salter laterally treated his B2 Child very carefully. After passing few years B2 begin to ask so many questions and begin to show the same attitude as B1. Again the things happened in the same way. The relationship was not good and smooth between father and B2 son. Salter got really stressful and attempts to kill his son and himself too.

                  In conclusion, we can easily realize how much frustration they had about the cloning method. There is nothing new and excited about the clone, more and more there is more arguments and discussion, for the result we can just think about murdered and frustration.

                                                   Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is also known as Intelligent of Machines (MOA) is a vicinity of the computer science that focuses on inventing a machines that connect as the behaviors in which human being believe an intelligent. It is the ability to generate intelligent machines that has intrigued humans from the time when earliest period and these days with the start of the computer. This research has been following over 50 years to invent some great and creative Artificial Intelligence. After the hard working of the researchers group this Artificial Intelligence (AI) machines come in reality. Some of the hard worker intelligent had created the system where we can found the system doing human being work such as they mimic human being sound, they could understand the thought, sound. Moreover, Artificial Intelligence could play a game such as soccer, chess. Still scientist are inventing and finding such kind Artificial Intelligence to help human being’s work to make it easier and faster. An author says that,” Artificial Intelligence is to build a mind out of software, a thinking computer- a machine with human –like (or super –human ) intelligence”( Gelernter 202). In this great quote writer gave us an idea about the intelligence minds which work in several different ways. Artificial Intelligence cleared all these possibilities as a valuable stuff and computer technologies has created an increased in today’s century and in the universe. For an instance, software could be able to work as a human being’s mind in a creative and effective way.

Furthermore, Ray Kurzweil and other scientist argue with the David Gelernter with different opinion and thoughts. The writer says, “It is hard to think of any problem that a super intelligence could not either solve or at least help us solve” (Kurzweil 137). Furthermore, the robots cannot work in critical ways with different creative mentality.The videos which was demonstrated by Dr. Dragan was effecitve and understandable to recognize about the Robotics.  Robotics cannot understand human’s nature, emotions and feelings in the ways that human being does.

 All in all, Human being and Artificial Intelligence are inter-related to each other. Human being is nature’s gift whereas Artificial Intelligence is known as Nurture’s gift. Personally I am very interested in my cluster class. All of the subject Philosophy, Psychology and English are co- related to each other. Therefore most of the topics are interrelated to each other, through the lectures and videos. People love in challenging the ideas and thoughts and they gave a positive space to the new field of Artificial Intelligence.

Morover I got some ideas from the EBSCO, Gale Virtual Refrences Library and Project MUSE. I hope to do good on my research after collecting all the resources and writing about my Research paper through it I can stick with my real story.                       This is Bhawana Bhattarai, from Nepal and currently living in Queens. I am very excited to be a part of your class and a cluster class as well. I am a pessimist about the Technology. The technology is the process where the humans are modified to artificial things to fulfill their requirement and desire. Technology is more advanced which assist human being to work and make humans life easier in some circumstances. Human beings knowledge and ideas are used to create and operate the technology. In today’s century artificial technology are getting more advanced and faster to help human being in certain places. However, I am personally against about the technology especially the robotics because if Robotics assists to perform our daily simple or complicated work then why are human beings generating to one generation to another. In fact, there would not be the demand and necessity of human being.  

               
                      Based on the context, Ray Kurweil seems to be an optimistic in the advanced development in robotics in The Singularity Is Near. The writer says,” the study of how to make computers do things at which, at the moment, people are better” (Kurweil 143).  This statement clears that to create an artificial technologies for certain time was pretty excited but as the time goes on there is nothing to be exciting with. Human being are always excited to do new things to challenge their life but inventing these kind of technologies put human beings life in stressful and overwhelming. For instance, after an inventing the computer technology, most of the people even who are known as an educated do not know to write in sequence with correct grammar and spellings. Because of the computer and advanced technology people intelligent are gearing back.  Human being, who is also called as a six sense, must do and fulfill the world’s necessity and desire by observing and facing some sort of strength, emotions, challenges which is only found in humans.

                    In this cluster class I choose my major in humanities .That’s why I am always in favor of human being than a scientific technology. Real things have a certain character and own intelligent. I believe myself than the things I purchase because artificial things are fake and could be as real. True human beings can never be compared with an artificial robotics. People can think, feel and do certain things with emotions but Robotics can only work without any feelings which can be never compared with human beings that is why I am pessimistic about the technology.

Based on the writings of Oliver Sacks and several scholarly sources, I will argue that Temple Grandin successful career as a designer of human slaughterhouse systems is based on her unique abilities as an autistic that allow her to process visual information differently than most people and her talents at empathy with animals.
